Steve Hackett - Live archive 70,80,90's
A 4-CD Box Set offering the opportunity to revisit the Hackett live experience in three different decades. It includes many favourites from the early days, rarely heard live since, which will delight his fans and a 40 page booklet crammed with unseen photos and insights from Hackett himself on the times and the tunes.
CDs 1 & 2 showcase the 70s with a complete 2 hour performance at the legendary Hammersmith Odeon. Hackett comments "I loved this band, the members of which were all part genius and part banana. Step once more into an era replete with elephantine drum solos, baffling time signatures and Teen Idol flute players."
CD3 is an outdoor concert recorded at Rome's Castel Sant' Angelo and Hackett describes this as "possibly the best this line up ever performed.".
The 90s show sees Hackett back in London's Grand Theatre with a band featuring " the fearsome drumming of Hugo Degenhardt, the virtuoso bass of Doug Sinclair and the one-man orchestra of Julian Colbeck!" and is again a demonstration of six string power and virtuosity.
