Gábor Vermes

He was born in 1970, Budapest. He studied music at the Vasutas Zeneiskola, and then improved himself as a selftought musician.

The first serious step in his carreer was the Rózsaszín Bombázók Interpop Festival awarded gruop, where he worked with Ildikó Keresztes and György Demeter. He stayed a various times as a memeber in several groups:
Salsa Fresa latin ensemble, Szerda Délután, Unisex, Szörp , a Ricardo Salsa Club, Fiesta. He played live with Miklós Birta, Zsuzsa Cserháti, Tamás Hevesi, Orsi Tunyogi, Kratelli Josephin, Caramel, Andrea Malek. Gábor with Tino Gonzales performed in many European capitals. He was a bass player of De phazz singer Pat Appleto in Hungary.

In 2009 he replaced Tamás Barabás on bass during the Djabe's July tour with Steve Hackett from Genesis.

In 2009 Gábor Vermes won the best intrumental soloist award at the Jazzy Jazz Dalverseny.
